VACCINATIONS
YES OR NO ?

DTP-Hib is a quadruple vaccine protecting against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (which is whooping cough) and the Hib bacteria. A quadruple jab ensures more people are protected, than if each vaccine were given separately, and so herd protection will be more easily achieved.

DTaP is the booster jab, given to pre-schoolers, to boost their immunity against diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis. It contains a different type of pertussis vaccine.

What you'll find in Vaccinations - Yes or No?

We'll discuss the difference between DTP and DTaP.  Many countries have stopped using  DTP.  We analyze the reasons for this.

We look at the vaccine ingredients.

We look at figures that show how effective the DTP-Hib vaccine is, and how long it lasts.

We consider the side effects of the DTP-HIb and DTaP vaccines.  The government, the vaccine manufacturers, scientific studies and parents have all listed side effects to these jabs.  Some of the reported reactions are incredibly rare.  Some are very dangerous.  We'll look at the risks involved:  just how likely is your child to suffer a side effect from the jab, and how serious will it be?
